Why you do not have to force yourself on days you want to do nothing

Put down the performance of being fine for a moment, and care for the part of you that has paused.

On days when you want to do nothing, recovery may come before willpower. Pausing does not have to mean you have failed.

Drink water, open a window, and choose one thing the day truly needs. That is enough care for now.

Getting through a day without harming yourself, even when you are not okay, can be the strongest kind of progress.
